Discover cultural gems at Bomunsa Temple and Bugeun-ri Dolmen, where ancient relics like stone-carved Buddha statues and historic dolmens await exploration. At the Ganghwa Peace Observatory, safely observe North Korea from afar, adding a unique perspective to your island adventure.

ACTIVITY DETAILS:

8:00 AM: Your day starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Seoul. During transit, enjoy the convenience of free Wi-Fi in your van/bus.

9:30 AM: Arrival at Seongmodo Island, located west of Ganghwa. Go sightseeing or choose from activities like hiking, cycling, feeding seagulls, or enjoying a leisurely picnic. 

11:30 PM: Proceed to Bomunsa Temple on Seongmodo Island. Take in the tranquil surroundings and notable features such as the 600-year-old Chinese juniper tree and the Buddhist temple nestled within a natural cave.

1:00 PM: Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local eatery within Bomunsa Temple's precincts. Try dishes like sanchae bibimbap, pancakes, and fried shrimp.

2:00 PM: Depart the temple to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bugeun-ri Dolmen, ancient grave markers dating back to prehistoric times.

3:15 PM: Conclude your tour at the Ganghwa Peace Observatory, where you can safely observe North Korea from a distance and delve into Korean War history at the exhibition hall.

4:30 PM: Head back to Seoul, arriving at 6 pm. You will be dropped off at your hotel.
